Volunteer gardening assistant
Tauranga Centre
We are looking for volunteers who are avid gardeners and outstanding handymen!
We need help caring for the lawns and gardens at our centre. You will be responsible for the weeding, pruning and general maintenance of our grounds. You must be passionate about gardening and have an understanding of horticulture.

Thanks for your interest in volunteering with SPCA. Volunteers are a huge part of our team—we couldn’t do what we do without you!
To get started, just fill out the form below. If you need help, please call the team at your local SPCA Centre or op shop.
A few things to note:
- You must be at least 15 to volunteer in our Op Shops.
- You must be at least 16 to volunteer at our Centres. If you are younger, please check out our sections on 'Volunteering for Kids', 'Volunteering from Home' or talk to your family about fostering opportunities.
- You may need to provide an up to date Ministry of Justice check during this process, and we'll ask about any medical conditions so we can ensure your safety while volunteering.
