Event and fundraising volunteer
Whanganui Centre
Event volunteering is ideal for those people who lead busy lives and are unable to commit to regular days.
Throughout the year, the SPCA Whanganui Centre is involved with a number of events, including sausage sizzles and manning stands at community days. We also have our annual Cupcake Day in August, and need collectors for the Annual Appeal in March.

Thanks for your interest in volunteering with SPCA. Volunteers are a huge part of our team—we couldn’t do what we do without you!
To get started, just fill out the form below. If you need help, please call the team at your local SPCA Centre or op shop.
A few things to note:
- You must be at least 15 to volunteer in our Op Shops.
- You must be at least 16 to volunteer at our Centres. If you are younger, please check out our sections on 'Volunteering for Kids', 'Volunteering from Home' or talk to your family about fostering opportunities.
- You may need to provide an up to date Ministry of Justice check during this process, and we'll ask about any medical conditions so we can ensure your safety while volunteering.
