Livestock Volunteer
Christchurch Centre
We are looking for volunteers to support our busy livestock team with our exciting variety of horses and large animals.
What will be involved:
- Feeding out hay and hard feed
- Poo picking
- Basic grooming and handling
- Assisting on off-site delivery jobs
As a livestock volunteer you will:
- Have experience with horses and large animals
- Be physically fit, able to navigate paddocks, and carry heavy thingd
- Be 16 years or older
- Be able to follow instructions
- Be able to take initiative
- Be reliable and hardworking
An onsite induction and hands-on training will be provided to successful applicants, and ongoing opportunities to learn more about the care of our farm animals will be made available,
We have morning and afternoon shifts available, seven days a week and a flexible rostering system that we can work in with your schedule. We ask that you can commit to at least three shifts per month (but the more the merrier!)

A few things to note:
- You must be at least 15 to volunteer in our Op Shops.
- You must be at least 16 to volunteer at our Centres. If you are younger, please check out our sections on 'Volunteering for Kids', 'Volunteering from Home' or talk to your family about fostering opportunities.
- You may need to provide an up to date Ministry of Justice check during this process, and we'll ask about any medical conditions so we can ensure your safety while volunteering.
