Feline volunteer
Thames Centre
We are looking for people to volunteer in our cattery. Our cattery is the area that houses the cats we have available for adoption.
Volunteers in our feline department feed cats, play with them, clean up kennels & litter boxes, and any number of other activities to support our furry friends!
What we’re looking for:
- Volunteers must be at least 16 years old
- Able to commit to a weekly 2-hour shifts for at least 6 months
- Proficient in written and spoken English

Thanks for your interest in volunteering with SPCA. Volunteers are a huge part of our team—we couldn’t do what we do without you!
To get started, just fill out the form below. If you need help, please call the team at your local SPCA Centre or op shop.
A few things to note:
- You must be at least 15 to volunteer in our Op Shops.
- You must be at least 16 to volunteer at our Centres. If you are younger, please check out our sections on 'Volunteering for Kids', 'Volunteering from Home' or talk to your family about fostering opportunities.
- You may need to provide an up to date Ministry of Justice check during this process, and we'll ask about any medical conditions so we can ensure your safety while volunteering.
