Volunteer positions
Maintenance Volunteer
Nelson Centre
Are you a skilled handyman with expertise in trades like electrical, building, plumbing, or painting? The Nelson SPCA is seeking volunteers to help maintain our centre and keep it in top condition for the animals and staff.
We often require volunteers with specialized skills to assist with various tasks such as electrical work, building repairs, plumbing, and painting. We also have plenty of odd jobs and one-off projects that pop up around the shelter from time to time. No matter your trade, if you have the skills, we’d love to have your help!
Some equipment can be provided.
The time commitment is flexible and will vary depending on the number of tasks for the day, but we appreciate any time you can offer.
If you have a specific area of expertise and are eager to volunteer, please fill out the application form by clicking the link.
