Event and Fundraising Volunteer
Nelson Centre
Are you looking for a flexible volunteer opportunity that fits around your busy schedule? Event volunteering at the Nelson SPCA is perfect for individuals who want to make a difference without committing to regular shifts.
Throughout the year, the Nelson SPCA Centre participates in a variety of events, including sausage sizzles, manning stands at community days, and our annual Cupcake Day in August. There are also other centre and local events where your help would be greatly appreciated.

For: Event and Fundraising Volunteer at Nelson Centre
Thanks for your interest in volunteering with SPCA. Volunteers are a huge part of our team—we couldn’t do what we do without you!
To get started, just fill out the form below. If you need help, please call the team at your local SPCA Centre or op shop.
A few things to note:
- You must be at least 15 to volunteer in our Op Shops.
- You must be at least 16 to volunteer at our Centres. If you are younger, please check out our sections on 'Volunteering for Kids', 'Volunteering from Home' or talk to your family about fostering opportunities.
- You may need to provide an up to date Ministry of Justice check during this process, and we'll ask about any medical conditions so we can ensure your safety while volunteering.
