Centre Support Volunteer
Invercargill Centre
This crucial role is a vital part of our daily operations, offering support to all areas of the Centre through laundry, restocking, and generally helping us keep the place tidy!
You will be involved a range of duties such as:
- Using the washing machine, dryer, and hanging out washing
- Folding and storing excess clean laundry in the storeroom
- Dishes
- Litter tray cleaning and lining
- Restocking food and other supplies to all areas of the centre
- Socializing/brushing cats
Available shifts:
Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday 2.30-4.30pm. We can be flexible with start and finish times.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
No formal qualification required but you will need to be at least 16 years of age.
Preferred skills
Successful candidate must be able to follow instructions and all Health and Safety requirements. They should be enthusiastic, hardworking, be able to work well in a team and have a genuine love of animals.

A few things to note:
- You must be at least 15 to volunteer in our Op Shops.
- You must be at least 16 to volunteer at our Centres. If you are younger, please check out our sections on 'Volunteering for Kids', 'Volunteering from Home' or talk to your family about fostering opportunities.
- You may need to provide an up to date Ministry of Justice check during this process, and we'll ask about any medical conditions so we can ensure your safety while volunteering.
