Front of House volunteer
Auckland (Hobsonville) Centre
SPCA’s new centre in Hobsonville will soon be open so we are now looking for people to join the volunteer team at this new centre!
Available shifts:
- Monday – Sunday:
- 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM
- 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM
Duties may include:
- Greeting members of the public
- Assisting with adoption paperwork
- Answering and redirecting phone calls
- Sorting donations and stocking the retail store
- General administrative tasks
- Sorting, cleaning, and folding donations
- Cutting rags and blankets to size
- Keeping stock organised
Requirements:
- 16+ years old
- Weekly/Fortnightly four-hour shift for six months
- Friendly, confident, good English communication

Thanks for your interest in volunteering with SPCA. Volunteers are a huge part of our team—we couldn’t do what we do without you!
To get started, just fill out the form below. If you need help, please call the team at your local SPCA Centre or op shop.
A few things to note:
- You must be at least 15 to volunteer in our Op Shops.
- You must be at least 16 to volunteer at our Centres. If you are younger, please check out our sections on 'Volunteering for Kids', 'Volunteering from Home' or talk to your family about fostering opportunities.
- You may need to provide an up to date Ministry of Justice check during this process, and we'll ask about any medical conditions so we can ensure your safety while volunteering.
