Administration volunteer
Nelson Centre
Would you like to contribute to animal welfare without a hands-on role? Consider becoming an administration volunteer at Nelson SPCA! Your organizational skills can positively impact the lives of our beloved animals.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Assist with basic administration tasks such as contacting foster carers through calls, texts, or emails.
- Update contact details and manage administrative records.
- Support printing and preparation of adoption packs.
- Occasionally help with tasks like clearing donation boxes and other miscellaneous duties.
Requirements:
- A commitment to animal welfare and our mission.
- Detail-oriented and organized approach.
- Ability to assist with various administrative tasks.
- Flexibility in helping with odd tasks that enhance our operations.

Thanks for your interest in volunteering with SPCA. Volunteers are a huge part of our team—we couldn’t do what we do without you!
To get started, just fill out the form below. If you need help, please call the team at your local SPCA Centre or op shop.
A few things to note:
- You must be at least 15 to volunteer in our Op Shops.
- You must be at least 16 to volunteer at our Centres. If you are younger, please check out our sections on 'Volunteering for Kids', 'Volunteering from Home' or talk to your family about fostering opportunities.
- You may need to provide an up to date Ministry of Justice check during this process, and we'll ask about any medical conditions so we can ensure your safety while volunteering.
